Owner authentication
Uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework for Touch ID or the Mac owner's approved fallback.
Touch ID protection for selected Mac apps, with a quiet menu-bar monitor that keeps working after the main window closes.
lil' Lock covers the selected app until the Mac owner authenticates. Switch away and the protection resets, so returning to the app requires owner authentication again.
The app protects only what you select, keeps the list local, and requires owner authentication for security-sensitive changes.

You decide which installed apps are protected instead of interrupting every app.
Protection continues from the menu bar after the setup window closes, including an optional quiet start at login.
The protected-app list stays on your Mac. lil' Lock does not read passwords or the contents of protected apps.
Start at Login is optional. When enabled, the helper stays in the background instead of opening a setup window at login.
lil' Lock is included in the current lil' Launcher public beta for Apple silicon Macs.
